Victorian Croatian Aged Care Services (CroCare) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) to join our clinical team at our 100-bed residential aged care home in Bell Park, Geelong.

This is a permanent part-time position specifically for afternoon (PM) and night duty (ND) shifts. Applicants must be available to work PM and/or ND shifts as part of their permanent roster. Please note that we are not currently recruiting for AM-only availability, casual EEN positions through this advertisement.

About the Role

As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will work within your scope of practice and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to support the delivery of protected, high-quality care to our residents.

You will have an important role in monitoring residents, administering medications, completing clinical documentation and working closely with Registered Nurses, care staff and the broader multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, respectful and person-centred nursing and direct personal care to residents

- Actively participate in hands-on resident care, including personal care and activities of daily living, alongside the care team as required

- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, continence care, meals, hydration, hygiene and other daily care needs within your role, competence and scope of practice

- Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice and in accordance with medication management requirements

- Monitor residents,



recognise changes in condition and promptly report and elevate concerns to the Registered Nurse

- Complete clinical observations and contribute to assessments, care planning, evaluation and ongoing review of resident care

- Support admissions, transfers and changes in resident care needs

- Maintain accurate, timely and appropriate clinical documentation

- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, EENs, PCAs and other members of the multidisciplinary team

- Support and guide care staff within your role and scope of practice

- Participate in clinical handover and support continuity of care between shifts

- Respond to resident call bells and care needs as part of the broader care team

- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and a positive and respectful workplace culture

- Follow CroCare policies and procedures, infection prevention and control requirements and workplace health and safety practices

At CroCare, EENs are an active part of the direct care team. The role is not limited to medication administration or clinical tasks and includes providing hands-on personal care and supporting residents with their daily care needs when required.

About You

We are looking for an EEN who is confident working in residential aged care and understands the responsibilities that come with working PM and night duty shifts.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with endorsement to administer medications

- Previous residential aged care experience

- Experience supporting residents living with dementia and complex care needs

- Sound clinical observation and escalation skills

- Good understanding of professional scope of practice and when matters must be escalated to the Registered Nurse

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Accurate and timely clinical documentation skills

- Ability to organise and prioritise your workload during PM and night duty





- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and responsibilities within residential aged care

- Commitment to person-centred care, resident dignity and choice

- Croatian language skills and/or an appreciation of Croatian culture and traditions would be highly regarded, reflecting the community we proudly serve

This vacancy is specifically for permanent part-time PM and night duty coverage.

Applicants must have genuine ongoing availability to work afternoon and/or night duty shifts across the fortnightly roster.

Essential Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with appropriate endorsement and no restrictions that prevent you from performing the requirements of the position

- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one

- Current Australian working rights

- Ability to meet applicable aged care worker screening and pre-employment requirements

- Ability and willingness to work the advertised PM and/or night duty roster
