We have an exciting opportunity for apart-time Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) 2ICto join our innovative high-intensity OSHC program for children with disabilities attendingSunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School.

This is a perfect opportunity for an Early Childhood Education Leader, Assistant Director or Room Leader, who is looking to take the next step for their career.

An extensive induction process will be provided for the successful candidate, working closely with the Children Services Manager and onsite Coordinator to learn about the programs. Applicants with any relevant qualifications or experience are encouraged to apply!

Your roleat a glance

Your role as the OSHC 2IC is pivotal to the program's success. You willassistin managing the OSHC program and supporting the Site Coordinator, adhering to its policies and directives. You willassistto supervise,engage, andprovidecare for school-age children with disabilities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Supporting children and staff in a variety ofactivitiesfrom reading and crafts,to sports and games, every day is different!

- After-school care (Monday-Friday):Directly supervising staff and children from 2 pm to 6 pm. Monday-Friday availability isrequiredfor this role.

- School Holiday Care (Monday-Friday):You will directly supervise staff and children during the holiday program from 9 am to 5 pm or until the last child is collected.

Remunerationcommencingat SCHADS Level 3.1 ($40.49 base rate) plus salary packaging is available for permanent part-time staff to reduce the tax you pay and increase your take-home pay (as per PBI status).

The ideal candidate must have:

- Completed or working towards a recognised minimum qualification as per the National Quality Framework

- Experience in child services, education, or disabilities with leadership aspirations.

- Passion for child development and education

- Strong ethics, child safety awareness, and work health and safety knowledge

- Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in the face of change

- Availability each day Monday-Friday between 2 pm-6 pm

Safeguarding of Children and Young People

As a staff member ofLifely’sHigh-Intensity Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program, you are expected to exemplify leadership and a strong dedication to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in your care. Your key responsibilities include:

- Disclosinganyinformation,you learn during your work that a reasonable person would consider could affect your suitability to work with children and young people.

- Acting as a protective figure during allinteractions andtaking proactive steps to prevent any form of abuse or neglect.

- Adhering strictly to all policies, procedures, and the code of conduct related to child safeguarding.





- Keeping your personal detailsup-to-datewith theappropriate departmentresponsible for working with children checks or their equivalent,in accordance withregulations.

- Completing the WorkingWithChildren Check (WWCC) before starting your role andmaintainingits validity throughout your employment.

- Undergoing a National or International Police Check prior to employment, and as required byLifely.

- Reporting any concerns, suspicions, allegations, or disclosures of child abuse or neglect promptly, following standard procedures.

- Participatingin all mandatory safeguarding training sessions.

- Using consistent methods to handle feedback, concerns, or complaints from children, families, and colleagues.

- Ensuring that current program ideas involve consultation with children and young people, using approved practices and resources.

- Staying informed about policies and procedures related to the protection of children and young people.

- Attending anyadditionaltraining related to safeguarding, as required by your role.

- Promoting a culture of cultural safety and inclusion for children and young people from diversebackgrounds,includingCALD communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities, and those with disabilities.

You must be willing to provide the following prior to starting work:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check

- First Aid and CPR Certificates

- NDIS Orientation Certificate

- Mandatory Reporting Certificate

- Foundations of Child Safety Training(completed during onboarding)

- Current vaccination certificate

- Proof of Right to work in Australia

- Completed or working towards anApproved ACECQA Qualification
