swara is seeking an experienced, motivated and people-focused Operations Manager – Community Access to join our leadership team.
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and delivery of swara’s Community Access and In-Home Support services. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead and support our Community Access team, ensuring participants receive safe, high-quality, person-centred supports while continuing to grow and develop our programs.
You will be someone who thrives in a busy setting, enjoys problem-solving and isn't afraid to get involved. You will work closely with Support Workers, Case Coordinators, participants, families and external stakeholders to ensure our services are responsive, innovative and genuinely focused on participant outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of swara’s Community Access and In-Home Support programs
- Leading, supporting and developing the Community Access team, including Support Workers and Case Coordinators
- Ensuring high-quality, person-centred service delivery across all Community Access programs
- Supporting the development and implementation of participant support models that promote independence, choice, inclusion and achievement of individual goals
- Building strong and respectful relationships with participants, families, support networks, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders
- Providing leadership and guidance to Case Coordinators and support teams
- Overseeing participant onboarding, service delivery and ongoing support requirements
- Monitoring participant outcomes, service quality and stakeholder feedback
- Ensuring accurate documentation, reporting and participant records are maintained
- Supporting rostering, staffing and workforce planning to ensure services are appropriately resourced
- Identifying and managing operational risks, incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Ensuring compliance with NDIS requirements, organisational policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Supporting the development of new and innovative Community Access programs and opportunities
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and participant outcomes
- Working collaboratively with the wider swara Leadership Team to achieve organisational goals
- Contributing to a positive, accountable and supportive workplace culture
- Being an approachable and visible leader who is willing to roll up your sleeves and support the team when needed
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, organised, compassionate and confident in a leadership role.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, Leadership & Management or equivalent
- Strong understanding of mental health, with demonstrated experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges and/or working within mental health services
- Demonstrated experience in a management, operations, coordination or senior leadership role within the disability/community services sector
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the NDIS
- Experience with rostering and workforce planning
- Experience leading and supporting teams in a disability or community services environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong participant and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, participant rights and person-centred practice
- The ability to balance people,
operations and business requirements while keeping participants at the centre of every decision
