SEQ Pipe Works is a growing specialist plumbing and pipe relining business servicing the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager to become a key part of our business and help take us to the next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being involved, solving problems and making things happen.

You won't be sitting on the sidelines simply managing a process. Working closely with the Director and field team, you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence how the business operates, improve efficiency and profitability, develop better systems and help drive growth.

One day you might be coordinating the day's jobs and solving a scheduling issue; the next you could be meeting with a commercial client, following up a major quote, reviewing job profitability, negotiating with a supplier or working on a strategy to grow our pipe relining and high-rise work.

If you see something that isn't working, we want you to fix it — not just tell us about it.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the business, including:

- Managing scheduling, job allocation and workflow across the field team.

- Ensuring jobs run efficiently from enquiry through to completion.

- Managing customer enquiries, bookings, quotations and follow-ups.

- Building strong relationships with customers, property managers, Body Corporates, strata and commercial clients.

- Identifying additional work and sales opportunities.

- Managing invoicing, payments and financial administration through Xero.

- Monitoring job performance, costs and profitability.





- Supporting the field team and maintaining accountability for performance.

- Managing supplier relationships and looking for opportunities to reduce costs.

- Monitoring marketing, enquiries and quote conversion.

- Working with the Director to grow our pipe relining, high-rise, Body Corporate, strata and commercial markets.

- Improving systems, processes and the way the business operates.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and proactive, but just as importantly, someone who takes ownership.

- Are confident dealing with customers, tradespeople and suppliers.

- Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of the details.

- Understand that good operations ultimately need to translate into profitable work.

- Are comfortable with numbers, quoting, invoicing and financial information.

- Are a natural problem solver who looks for solutions.

- Can work independently without needing constant direction.

- Enjoy improving systems and finding better ways to do things.

- Are comfortable getting involved wherever you're needed.

- Want to be part of a growing business rather than simply filling a position.

Experience

Experience in operations, administration, coordination, management or a similar role is significant.

Experience in plumbing, drainage, pipe relining, construction, civil works,



facilities management or another trade-based business would be highly regarded, but not essential.

Experience with Xero, job management software, quoting, sales or managing field-based teams will also be advantageous.

You definitely don't need to be a plumber. What's important is that you can understand the nature of a trade-based business, communicate effectively with tradespeople and customers, and have the commercial and organisational skills to help keep the business moving and growing.
