The opportunity As Participation Coordinator, you will help grow Australian Rules football across Greater Sydney by delivering engaging programs and creating quality experiences for participants, schools, clubs and communities. This role is a Maximum Term contract covering a period of Parental Leave until December 2027. Based in Sydney, you will support participation across Community Football, NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and AFL NINES. Through a targeted approach, you will help more children and young people connect with the game in safe, friendly and fun environments. What you’ll own You will coordinate and deliver participation programs, build robust relationships with local stakeholders and support positive football and fan engagement experiences across Greater Sydney.

You’ll add value through:

- Supporting junior clubs and Auskick and Superkick centres with participant recruitment, volunteers, coaching, protocols, promotion and venue hire
- Driving program bookings and supporting participation growth
- Delivering AFL programs in schools and after-school settings, including curriculum-linked programs, Auskick, Superkick and all-abilities programs
- Conducting school assemblies and other promotional activities to build awareness and participation
- Delivering programs in line with the relevant curriculum and creating safe, welcoming and enjoyable experiences




- Building productive relationships with teachers, schools and other program stakeholders
- Coordinating AFL player visits and fan engagement activities
- Contributing to shared team priorities and the success of participation initiatives across Greater Sydney

What you’ll bring

- Experience working with children and young people
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- The ability to engage participants, teachers, schools, clubs, volunteers and other stakeholders
- Initiative and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision
- Strong administration, organisation and planning capability
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Careful attention to detail and a consistent, process-focused approach
- The ability to remain composed and communicate effectively under pressure
- A commitment to creating safe, inclusive and enjoyable experiences for children and young people
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to broader team outcomes
