We have (12-Month Contract - Extend) Principal Enterprise Network Architectavailable in Melbourne.

This is a Principal-level architecture role, not a traditional Senior Network Engineer position. We are looking for someone who can operate across a broad enterprise networking portfolio and provide technical leadership across complex customer environments.

The successful candidate will bring deep enterprise networking expertise combined with broad coverage across multiple technology domains, including:

- Data Centre Networking
- Enterprise Campus Networking
- SD-WAN
- Wi-Fi / Wireless
- Network Security
- Network Automation

You will act as a senior technical authority, working with customers, engineering teams, project managers, partners and vendors to shape architecture, provide technical direction and lead delivery across complex, multi-disciplinary programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the senior technical authority and architectural point of contact for enterprise networking engagements.
- Lead architecture development, discovery, assessments and technical solution design.
- Develop and review enterprise network architectures across Data Centre, Campus, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, Security and Automation.
- Provide technical leadership across complex, multi-phase and multi-disciplinary projects.




- Work closely with customers, including senior stakeholders, to understand business and technical requirements and develop practical solutions.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews and solution presentations.
- Review technical designs, deployment documentation and engineering deliverables.
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues, dependencies and design deficiencies.
- Provide technical governance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring architecture and delivery standards are maintained.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, partners, vendors and contractors.
- Provide technical escalation and guidance across multiple technology domains.
- Support project scoping, solution development, Statements of Work and customer proposals.
- Work closely with Sales and Professional Services teams to transition opportunities into successful delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior engineers and architects.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer environments and contribute to additional technical opportunities.

This requires a Principal Architect with technical breadth and leadership maturity.

Experience Required





- Extensive experience in Enterprise Network Architecture / Technical Consulting.
- Proven experience operating at Principal, Lead Architect or equivalent senior technical leadership level.
- Strong architectural understanding across several of the following:
- Data Centre Networking
- Campus / LAN Networking
- SD-WAN
- Wi-Fi
- Network Security
- Network Automation

- Experience leading technical delivery across multiple networking domains simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, design principles and delivery methodologies.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, engineering resources, partners and vendors.
- Strong delivery governance, technical assurance and risk management experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as the senior technical escalation point.
- Experience working within Professional Services, consulting, systems integration or complex enterprise environments.
