Southern Sydney

ABOUT US

Recognised as one of Australia's leading tailormade travel experts, Eclipse Travel specialises in travel to extraordinary and sometimes remote destinations including Antarctica, the Arctic, Africa, Latin America, Canada & Alaska. Our team of travel experts bring firsthand knowledge and genuine passion to everything they do, inspiring and facilitating incredible journeys that are uniquely matched to each client's interests, travel dates, and budget. Responsible tourism and a deep respect for the world's most stunning environments sit at the core of who we are.

THE ROLE

Eclipse Travel is looking for a Product Coordinator based in Sydney to support the continued growth of our product portfolio. Reporting to and working extremely closely with the Product Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for developing, loading, pricing, maintaining, and improving our FIT product across every Eclipse Travel destination. This is a hands-on role spanning product administration, commercial support, supplier relationships, sales enablement, and industry representation.

You will manage product from beginning to end: responding to requests from the Sales team, sourcing and reviewing supplier content and rates, building new products and full itineraries, keeping existing products accurate, and helping our team confidently recommend and sell them.

You will initially attend supplier meetings alongside the Product Manager and gradually take ownership of selected supplier relationships as your knowledge develops. This role is designed for someone who wants to eventually develop into a Product Manager position as Eclipse Travel continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tailormade Product Management

- Manage requests from the Sales and Product teams to load new products into our system, from simple day tours all the way to complete FIT itineraries
- Build new itineraries and update existing ones, ensuring the routing, timing, inclusions, exclusions, descriptions, imagery, and supplier information are complete and accurate
- Maintain current pricing and product content across all Eclipse Travel destinations, updating products promptly when new rates or information are received
- Complete product reviews and quality checks before products are made available to the Sales team or published to the website
- Prioritise competing product requests, while always communicating clearly about the expected completion times

Pricing and Commercial Support

- Request and interpret supplier rates, contracts, special offers, and commercial terms
- Calculate accurate selling prices in line with Eclipse Travel's commercial requirements
- Compare competing suppliers and products across price, quality, inclusions, service, sustainability, and suitability for our clients
- Support the Product Manager with rate and commission negotiations with suppliers
- Track contract periods, special-offer deadlines, and rate validity dates so pricing remains current and opportunities are not missed

Supplier Relationships and Industry Representation

- Build professional, productive relationships with DMCs, airlines, cruise operators, tour operators and other suppliers
- Attend supplier meetings and gradually take ownership of selected supplier relationships
- Represent Eclipse Travel professionally at supplier functions, trade events and conferences
- Travel domestically and occasionally internationally for approved trade events, supplier meetings, conferences, and familiarisation trips

Sales Team Support & Training

- Respond promptly and accurately to product questions from the Sales team
- Recommend appropriate suppliers, hotels, experiences, and itinerary solutions based on the client's needs and the commercial priorities of the business
- Share important product updates, new launches, pricing changes and special offers with the team
- Develop and deliver useful internal destination and supplier training
- Use feedback from the Sales team to identify gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve our product range

Website & Marketing Support

- Maintain product content in our system and on our website (using WordPress)
- Prepare accurate itinerary information, images, and supporting material for the Marketing team
- Fact-check marketing content from a product and destination perspective before publication
- Ensure published products, prices, offers, and supplier information are accurate and consistent across systems and channels

Systems, Resources & Process Improvements

- Maintain organised supplier files including contracts, rate sheets, imagery, and information
- Identify and implement practical improvements to how product is maintained and communicated
- Work closely with the Product Manager and Product Assistant to coordinate priorities, share knowledge, and maintain clear ownership of tasks

ABOUT YOU

- Ideally seeking 1-3 years' relevant travel industry experience within a tour operator, wholesaler, DMC, or tailor-made travel environment that includes at least one of our specialist destinations
- Previous experience in a product role within the travel industry is desirable, but not essential
- A sound understanding of how tailormade itineraries are built, priced, and presented
- Strong numerical skills and commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret rate sheets, calculate prices and margins, and compare supplier proposals accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over the accuracy and quality of your work
- Excellent written English, with the ability to turn supplier information into clear and engaging product content
- Confident and professional communication skills alongside a collaborative approach to work
- Highly organised and able to manage a high volume of requests, changing priorities, and deadlines
- Comfortable learning and working across CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and WordPress
- Curiosity about destinations and travel product, with the initiative to research, ask questions, and continually build your knowledge
- Full Australian working rights, a reliable home-office setup, and the ability to attend monthly Sydney office days and in-person supplier or industry events as required

COMPENSATION & PERKS

- Competitive salary plus superannuation, commensurate with experience
- Significant quarterly performance bonus based on company and individual results
- 5 days of famil leave per year, in addition to your annual leave
- Fully remote working; attending in-person supplier meetings, trade shows and events as required
- Discounts on personal travel to some of the world's most beautiful and remote destinations
- Bonusly peer recognition rewards program
- A genuine development pathway towards a future Product Manager role as the business grows
- The chance to work with a fun-loving, high-performing, and supportive team of travel enthusiasts who take their work seriously and genuinely enjoy what they do
