- Play a key role in creating a welcoming, inclusive and connected student experience for students.
- Lead orientation, transition and engagement initiatives that support belonging, student success and community connection.
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
- Base salary range: $99,040 – $104,669 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Student Engagement and Belonging team sits within Student Life and Community and plays a vital role in enhancing the student experience. The team delivers orientation and engagement programs that help students build meaningful connections, develop a sense of belonging and thrive throughout their university journey. Working closely with students, the Student Guild, College of Schools and support services, the team champions inclusion, student voice, leadership development and community participation

About the opportunity

- Coordinate and deliver evidence-based student engagement programs that foster connection, inclusion and belonging.
- Lead student volunteers, supporting the design, delivery and continuous improvement of peer-led initiatives.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the University, Student Guild and College Services to enhance the experience of commencing, international and equity group students.

About you

- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in student engagement, event coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement or a related field.




- Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities affecting students transitioning into university, particularly students from diverse and non-traditional backgrounds.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build effective relationships.
- Highly organised with demonstrated experience coordinating multiple priorities, delivering large-scale activities and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
