We are currently seeking an experienced Dump Truck Operator with a mechanical or electrical background to join our client’s team on a temporary/casual basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone with solid heavy mobile equipment experience who is looking for their next site-based role.
THE ROLE You’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating dump trucks while supporting the broader site team with your mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate dump trucks and associated heavy mobile equipment
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams
- Follow site procedures and safety requirements at all times
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care
- Assist with general site duties as required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
- Previous experience operating dump trucks
- Mechanical or electrical trade background/experience
- Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment
- Excellent safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and strong work ethic
- Relevant tickets, licences and mining/site experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to pass relevant site medical and drug & alcohol screening
