Selby’s is a well-established Australian company specialising in large-format digital printing, flags, banners, signage and display products. We are looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our production team at our Dandenong South facility.

About the Role

Working as part of our production and finishing team, you will be responsible for sewing and finishing a range of printed textile products, including flags, banners and fabric displays.

- Operating industrial sewing machines to produce flags, banners and textile products
- Sewing hems, seams, sleeves and other finishing details
- Working with polyester fabrics and other textile materials
- Following production specifications, measurements and work instructions
- Inspecting finished products to ensure a high standard of quality
- Identifying and reporting quality issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Assisting the wider production team when required

About You

- Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines
- Experience sewing flags, banners, textiles or similar large-format fabric products is highly desirable
- Strong sewing and finishing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship




- The ability to read and follow measurements and production instructions
- Good hand-eye coordination
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A reliable and positive attitude
- The ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- A strong commitment to quality and workplace safety
- Experience with industrial sewing of large-format printed textiles will be highly regarded.
