We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Leading Hand who can take responsibility on site and become a key part of our team long term.

n

This is a hands‐on role. You'll still be on the tools, but you'll also help lead the team, coordinate trades and make sure the job is being built properly and efficiently.

n

The Role

n

Working closely with the Director and Construction Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our residential sites.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading carpenters and apprentices on site
n
- Hands‐on carpentry across renovations, extensions and custom homes
n
- Reading and working from architectural and structural plans
n
- Planning daily and weekly site activities
n
- Coordinating subcontractors and deliveries
n
- Checking work before trades move onto the next stage
n
- Maintaining a high standard of finish and attention to detail
n
- Identifying issues early and communicating them with management
n
- Keeping sites clean, organised and safe
n
- Completing site documentation, photos and daily updates
n
- Making sure the team follows our safety procedures
n
- Helping apprentices and younger carpenters develop their skills
n
- Communicating professionally with clients, designers, trades and suppliers
n

What We're Looking For

n





You'll suit this role if you're an experienced carpenter who is ready to take ownership rather than wait to be told what to do next.

n

You must have:

n

n
- Qualified carpenter with solid residential construction experience
n
- Experience with renovations, extensions and detailed residential work
n
- Previous Leading Hand, Foreman or site leadership experience
n
- Strong ability to read architectural and structural plans
n
- Excellent carpentry and problem‐solving skills
n
- Good understanding of residential building processes
n
- Strong organisation and communication skills
n
- High standards for quality and site presentation
n
- Ability to lead apprentices and other trades respectfully
n
- Current NSW White Card
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Your own basic tools
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
