Intermediate Fire Protection Designer – Take the Next Step in Your Career

Frontier Fire Design is looking for an intermediate Fire Protection Designer who is ready to challenge themselves, take greater ownership of projects and progress their career. This chance would suit a designer who already has experience in wet fire systems and wants to move beyond simply producing drawings. You will be supported to strengthen your technical knowledge, develop your project-management skills and become more involved in coordination, client communication and design decision-making. You will work across a range of projects involving fire sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel systems—from early design development through to construction and as-built documentation.

Key responsibilities

- Designing fire sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel systems
n
- Preparing coordinated design and construction documentation
n
- Working in AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam
n
- Reviewing architectural, structural and building-services drawings
n
- Coordinating fire services with other disciplines
n
- Participating in project and coordination meetings
n
- Preparing RFIs and resolving design issues
n
- Undertaking or assisting with hydraulic calculations
n
- Reviewing relevant Australian Standards and project requirements
n
- Managing drawing revisions and document control
n

About you

- Understands sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel system requirements
n
- Can read and interpret architectural and services documentation
n
- Has experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
n
- Has strong attention to detail
n
- Can identify coordination and constructability issues
n
