An exciting prospect is available for an experienced &enthusiastic; person to join our team as a casual Food Service Assistant.
The Food Service Assistant is responsible for food preparation, meal assembly and delivery of patient meals. This includes the serving of beverages,mid meal items, collection and cleaning of patient's trays,meal utensils and assists with cleaning of all food service equipment. This position includesmanual handling work tasks.
Skills and experience:
- Two years experience in a hospital | medical food service setting
- Good knowledge of Manual Handling guidelines
- Understanding of OH&S;
- Flexibility in working hours
- Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients to deliver high standard of service
- Ability to perform Manual Handling work tasks
- Applicants must hold a current Victorian Police check.
