At Advanced Aquarium Technologies (AAT), you'll oversee the delivery of major public aquarium projects across the globe, combining international travel, stakeholder leadership, and end-to-end project ownership in one truly unique role.

Reporting directly to the General Manager- Australia, you'll be at the centre of project delivery, working with national and global clients and coordinating weekly progress meeting across all active projects, leading each one from inception through to completion.

This is not your typical Project Manager role. It's for someone who enjoys being where the action is, solving problems in office, building relationships across cultures, and delivering exceptional project outcomes.

Role Summary

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the delivery of complex, national and international projects, from construction through to commissioning, and final handover.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

A key aspect of the role is providing visibility and leadership across the project portfolio.

You will chair the weekly Project Management reporting meeting, consolidating project updates, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting clear insights to support informed decision-making.

Working closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in driving project success while helping shape the future growth of the business.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading and taking ownership of projects from construction through to commissioning, and successful handover
- Managing multiple concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities, resources, budgets, risks, and timelines to ensure successful project outcomes
- Driving projects from design to completion, ensuring quality, consistency, safety, financial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction across all deliverables
- Chairing weekly project reporting meetings and presenting project updates, risks, and opportunities.
- Identifying and managing key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Defining, documenting, and managing project scope, deliverables, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful outcomes
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to proactively manage project risks




- Ensuring the highest standards of quality, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance across all project activities
- Planning and allocating resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to maximise project efficiency and performance
- Managing procurement activities, contracts, logistics, suppliers, and subcontractors to support project delivery
- Securing permits, licences, and regulatory approvals and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Leading construction operations in partnership with site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Coordinating travel logistics, visas, accommodation, and workforce welfare requirements for project teams where required
- Monitoring project financial performance, managing budgets, costs, and project variations
- Acting as the primary escalation point for project-related issues, proactively resolving challenges and driving solutions
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, reporting, and project governance records
- Planning and leading project kick-off meetings, establishing clear governance, accountability, and stakeholder alignment from day one

What you bring:

Essential

- 5-10 years of Construction Project Management experience
- Experience managing multiple clients and international projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership experience
- A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, theme parks, or similar project-based environments

Preferred

- International project delivery experience
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar Project Management certification
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
- Experience delivering complex, technical, or specialist construction projects
- Travel Expectations

To be successful in this role, you'll be comfortable with:

- Frequent domestic and international travel
- Extended periods working on-site during key project phases
- Working across multiple time zones and cultures
- Occasional after-hours availability for urgent project matters
- Managing projects remotely,



ideally across more than one country
- Supporting international projects that may continue during the Australian Christmas shutdown period
