About the role:

Tidal Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in a flexible, project-based role supporting works across Tidal Solutions’ business units. This role will suit someone who is adaptable, commercially aware and confident managing projects across varying scopes, clients and locations.

With experience working within fixed plant and/or rotating equipment environments, you will have demonstrated ability in project management, coordinating small work teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the General Manager and supported by our internal planning and administration teams, you will play an key role in ensuring successful project delivery by:

- Establishing, maintaining and continually improving client relationships
- Managing project delivery across SMP, mechanical and maintenance-related works
- Taking ownership of project planning, coordination, execution and close-out requirements
- Providing technical support, mentoring and coaching to work execution teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and in line with client expectations
- Supporting workforce forecasting, scheduling, reporting and utilisation across multiple project areas
- Assisting with operational coverage across the business where project workload or resourcing needs arise
- Contributing to workforce development, operational competency and continuous improvement initiatives

This role would suit a proactive and adaptable Project Manager who is comfortable working across different clients,



project types and operational requirements, and who can balance hands-on project delivery with strong commercial, safety and people-focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consult with key client stakeholders to develop pipeline of ongoing works!
- Lead Quoting, Estimating and Tender submission process.
- Communicate the project pipeline to internal stakeholders to enable long-term resource management plan for forecasted works.
- Attend and participate in the weekly Planning and Scheduling meetings
- Facilitate Shutdown and Progress meetings as required, and ensure key actions are implemented.
- Work closely with central planning team and coordinate work, both planned and reactive, to optimise resource utilisation and enable work to be conducted in line with client expectations.
- Work closely with central planning team to develop or refine work packages based on work requests, including project Gantt charts and work breakdown structures.
- Provide clear communication and provide ongoing technical support to Mobilisation and Procurement activities, including material requirements, equipment hire and personnel movements.
- Manage execution teams and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues encountered during execution.
- Support Supervisors to achieve safety and project deliverables; and provide mentoring and coaching to work execution teams.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and obligations. For example, collation of Manufacturer Data Reports, Inspection Test Plans, Completion Reports etc
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives associated with project management,



data management and job reporting systems to increase project management effectiveness and efficiency.

Key skills and experience required:

- 10 years’ experience across all areas of fixed plant shutdown, maintenance, and repairs
- Trade Certificate or related Tertiary qualifications.
- Certificate level qualification in Project Management would be highly regarded.
- Knowledge and experience related to project management, job planning, and on-site resource management.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and supporting your team’s ongoing training and development.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
- Proven ability to successfully develop working relationships across all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and be collaborative with strong leadership skills.
- Current Driver’s License
- Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia
- Rio Tinto Inducted (Desirable)

About You:

- 10 years’ experience across all areas of fixed plant shutdown, maintenance, and repairs
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent time management, strong planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
- Good working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations
- Ability to utilise your wealth of knowledge to provide ongoing support.
- Mindfulness and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Able to work within tight time constraints, manage competing priorities and deliver on deadlines.
- Proven track record in business development and successful management of customer relationships and networks
