About us The Long Service Corporation (LSC) is a standalone agency within the Department of Customer Service. LSC manages portable long service leave schemes for the building and construction industry and the contract cleaning industry, and is preparing to launch a third scheme for the Community Services Industry (CSI).
You will join the Digital and Program Delivery team, supporting the delivery of new schemes and associated systems and processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across existing schemes.
About the role
As a Project Officer, you will perform project management and support activities that contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects to meet business objectives. You will support project leads and work across multiple initiatives, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and quality expectations.
Key accountabilities
- Coordinate and implement project activities applying sound project management principles
- Provide project management and administrative support to project leads and teams
- Support the delivery of projects in line with agreed timeframes, budgets, scope and quality standards
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and vendors
- Coordinate working groups, meetings and consultations to support project delivery
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and contribute to reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities
- Undertake research and analysis, preparing briefs and reports to support informed decision‑making

managing and escalating risks and issues as required
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate
- This role requires a candidate with demonstrable end-to-end project delivery experience, grounded in recognised project management disciplines and methodologies.
- The implementation and handover
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and delivery schedules
- Effectively manage stakeholders, including structured stakeholder mapping and engagement
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle
- This role is focused on delivering a specific current platform. As such, experience delivering digital transaction or portal-based solutions (e.g. web transactions, customer portals, or applications) is essential.
- Provide project and administrative support to help teams deliver agreed outcomes on time, within budget and scope, and to quality standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and vendors through clear communication, negotiation and issues management.
- Coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to support information sharing and project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and monitoring information, and identify emerging risks and issues.
- Undertake research and analysis, identify trends and prepare briefs to support informed decision-making and planning.
Salary Grade 7/8,
with the base salary for this role starting at $120,478 base plus superannuation.
