Store Operations Manager – Queensland

Direct Chemist Outlet is one of Australia’s fastest growing pharmacy groups, with more than 150 pharmacies across the country and we’re continuing to grow.

We are looking for a Store Operations Manager to support our Queensland network.

Based at our South Brisbane Support Centre and reporting to the General Manager, you’ll work closely with pharmacy owners, store teams and Support Centre staff to put initiatives into practice across the state.

Our stores are spread across metropolitan and regional Queensland, so travel is a significant part of this role. You’ll spend much of your time out in stores and need to be genuinely comfortable with regular driving, regional travel and overnight stays when required.

This is a hands on role for someone who can balance planning with time in stores. You’ll support existing pharmacies, coordinate the onboarding of new members and help teams deliver a great customer experience across both retail and professional areas.

What you’ll do

- Lead, coach and support our Queensland operations team.

- Visit pharmacies, resolve operational issues and help store teams apply DCO standards, policies and procedures.

- Coordinate new pharmacy onboarding, including project planning, stakeholder updates and support during fit out or conversion.

- Improve store audit tools and use the results to give teams clear, useful feedback.

- Communicate operational initiatives through DCO’s store channels.

- Identify practical improvements to workflows, store processes and team efficiency.

- Promote safe working practices and support compliance with relevant requirements.

- Travel regularly across metropolitan and regional Queensland, including overnight stays when required.

What you’ll bring

- Retail pharmacy experience – essential.

- A current Australian driver’s license.

- Experience leading multi site retail operations,



ideally in community pharmacy environment.

- Strong people leadership skills and a coaching approach that builds trust with store teams.

- The ability to manage projects, competing priorities and stakeholders across multiple locations.

- Commercial judgment, with an understanding of merchandising, promotions and store performance.

- Clear communication, sound problem solving skills and the confidence to turn plans into action.

- A genuine willingness to travel regularly across Queensland, including regional travel and overnight stays.

Experience with pharmacy software and multi site management is highly regarded, but we’re equally interested in people with the right attitude.
