In this role, you'll:

Be working as part of a team delivering reliable passenger train wheelsets and component assemblies across all Sydney Trains fleet types.

You’ll inspect, service, overhaul and repair components, using your fitting and machining skills to keep the passenger fleet protected, reliable and available.

You’ll diagnose faults, complete repairs and functional testing, and contribute your trade expertise in a hands-on workshop environment.

This is a permanent, on-site role based at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre, working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

About You

Your mechanical fitting and machining skills will see you confidently inspect, maintain, overhaul and repair train components while delivering quality outcomes as part of a collaborative team.





You’re a practical problem solver, skilled at fault finding and working across a broad range of fitting, machining and component assembly tasks.

You’ve got relevant trade qualifications, training and hands-on experience, with a current forklift and/or crane licence highly regarded.
