What you’ll be doing. The Responsive Maintenance Officer works as part of CHL’s operational team to deliver high quality service and ensure properties are maintained to a safe, functional and welcoming standard for customers. Working closely with the Responsive Maintenance Coordinator, you will help oversee responsive and vacated maintenance activities, liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders, and support the consistent application of CHL’s asset policies, procedures and standards.

- Provide advice and support in the management of CHL’s asset base.
- Supervise and oversee responsive and vacated maintenance of properties.
- Liaise and negotiate with relevant business units, consultants and contractors.
- Support asset management projects and work assignments.
- Undertake onsite maintenance work as required.
- Work with contractors to ensure agreed service standards and KPIs are met.
- Collaborate with the broader operations team and provide support across the team when needed.

You will bring sound judgement, strong organisational skills and a commitment to safe, compliant and responsive service delivery. This role is perfect for someone who loves technology and thrives in a data-driven environment. You'll be naturally curious, quick to learn new systems, and comfortable turning data and insights into meaningful actions. Strong technical aptitude, commercial awareness, and the ability to make informed decisions will be key to your success.

- Sound knowledge and application of Work Health and Safety practices.




- Experience working with contractors, maintenance teams or asset/property related services.
- Ability to manage priorities, monitor work progress and deliver quality outcomes.
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues, consultants and contractors.
- A current driver’s licence.
- A White Card, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to complete satisfactory pre-employment checks, including Police, NDIS and Working with Children’s Checks.
