About the role

Are you passionate about the hair and beauty industry and looking for an exciting retail role? We are seeking a full-time Retail Assistant to join our team at John Wurzel & Co Pty Ltd in Oakleigh South, Victoria. In this varied position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of our busy hair and beauty wholesaler.

What you'll be doing- but not limited to

1. Assisting customers and processing sales transactions in our retail showroom
2. Maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
3. Restocking and organising product displays to ensure inventory is well-stocked and easily accessible
4. Answering customer inquiries about our product range and providing recommendations
5. Supporting the overall operations of the retail store as required
6. Basic admin - create labels, shelf tags etc
7. Pick and Process website orders

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably within the hair and beauty industry or previouse hairdressing experience
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for providing excellent customer service
3. Enthusiasm for the latest trends and products in the hair and beauty sector
4.



Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
5. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and also independantly when required.
6. Well presented, trustworthy, looking for long term commitement

1. Paid weekly - 20 min or x2 10 min morning/ afternoon break paid plus 30 minute lunch break not paid.

4. Work Hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday only. (37.5 hour weeks)
5. Part Annual Leave to be taken at forced shut down which is Approximately 3 weeks over christmas/new year periods.
