Reports To

Head of Legal, Compliance and Company Secretariat The Risk and Compliance Officer plays a key role in assisting the division to achieve targets by providing an integral risk and compliance implementation service to assess and respond to key threats and opportunities in our operations. You will achieve this through managing a pro-active and co-operative relationship with our internal stakeholders to identify, assess and comply with our obligations and responsibilities towards our customers and shareholders. You will have an opportunity to work across multiple functions and all insurance classes of the business.

Key Relationships The role will work closely with the following groups:

- Internal: 360 Underwriting Agencies and shared Group Services Teams
- External: Agencies Security Providers (General Insurers)

Accountabilities

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

- Provide operational risk assurance planning as well as supporting the implementation of organisational policies including advice on leveraging existing practices in line with Gropp Risk Management Strategy;
- Provie advice to management on risk to improve the quality of risk identification, control plans and control testing to respond to risks and opportunities;
- Triage and assess incidents and issues across the Agencies and reporting to the Agencies security in line with binder obligations;
- Ensuring the risk maturity is lifted across the Agencies and assist so they understand and manage the risks and controls they own;
- Implement and undertake ongoing compliance and risk control testing;
- Implement and undertake ongoing risk profiling;




- Align with and actively demonstrate 360 Group values and 360 Group’s Code of Conduct;
- Chair the Risk and Compliance Committee;
- Manage all aspect of compliance processes and reporting;
- Design and set the compliance framework, set training policies and oversee the quality of training;
- All staff are expected to cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the 360 Group and take all reasonable care to ensure that their action do not adversely affect the health and safety of themselves and others;
- Assist the Claims team with Complaints handling and the Internal Dispute Resolution Process and management of AFCA disputes.

Experience and Skills

- At least 5 years’ experience in Risk and Compliance roles relevant to the insurance industry.
- Proficient understanding of relevant financial services and insurance legislation and policy framework.
- Proven experience in risk profiling and control testing.
- Proficient organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work under pressure, establish and respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgment and initiative.
- Proficient interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Degree level (desirable) or, equivalent insurance industry certifications will be highly regarded.
- Proficient level of computer literacy and skills in Microsoft Office applications and database software.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team.
- An understanding of and commitment to the 360 Group’s aim, objectives and values, together with relevant policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
