2 Temporary Opportunities

Infrastructure Directorate | Sutherland Shire Council

We're seeking two experienced and highly organised Business Support Officers to join our Infrastructure Directorate on a temporary basis. These opportunities will support either our Facilities & Fleet team or our Asset Strategy & Delivery team, providing high-level business and administrative support to leaders and teams delivering essential infrastructure services to our community.

What You'll Do

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll:

- Provide high-quality administrative and business support
- Coordinate reports, presentations, agendas, minutes and correspondence
- Manage customer enquiries, requests and stakeholder communications
- Support projects, business improvement initiatives and operational activities
- Assist with procurement, budget administration, grants and contract processes
- Coordinate staff communications, reporting, training and documentation
- Build robust working relationships across Council and with external stakeholders

About You

You'll be a proactive and adaptable professional with:

- A Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
- Experience in a business support, executive support or administration role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Desirable

- Local Government or public sector experience
- Experience supporting infrastructure, facilities, fleet, engineering or project teams

- Package: $81,866 - $86,777 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time Working 35 hours per week.



You will have the option of a 19 day month with Council's ADO system (Accrued Day Off). Positions are expected to be available up to 12 months.
