The Chance

MAKA OFFROAD is Australia's premier dedicated fitout facility for hybrid, PHEV, and electric 4x4 platforms. Partnering with major fleet operators, dealers, and vehicle manufacturers, we engineer and install heavy-duty accessories on BYD Sharks, Toyota LandCruisers/Hiluxes, Ford Rangers, and Isuzu D-Maxes.

Due to explosive growth, we are hiring 4 dedicated full-timers across two key streams:

1. 2 x 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanics / EV Techs

2. 2 x Workshop Labourers / Trade Assistants

Role Streams

Apprentices (2nd or 3rd Year):

- Complete your Cert III Light Vehicle or transition to a specialized Cert III in Electric Vehicle Technology.

- Assist qualified techs with vehicle preparation, wiring, component mounting, and HV safety procedures.

- Lead dedicated vehicle builds under mentor supervision.

- Support vehicle manufacturers with hands-on research and development testing for new hybrid and EV products.

Workshop Labourers / Trade Assistants:

- Assemble, inspect, and QC bullbars, trays, service bodies, canopies, suspension gear, and custom storage units.

- Conduct parts pickups across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast using company delivery vehicles.

- Forklift operations, stock handling, inventory organisation, and dispatch.

- Assist with basic accessory fitment on powered-down platforms.
