What you will do
As Information and Records Advisor,
you will support sound records management across the department. You will guide staff, check records work and help improve records processes.
You will:
- check archiving requests and records sentencing for quality and accuracy
- help staff use the Gateway system and provide clear training and demonstrations
- manage the Grace Destruction Project and support archivists with their work
- develop practical records management guidance, training and improvement activities
- provide clear advice on records policies, procedures and related standards.
About you
A Certificate III in Recordkeeping, Certificate IV in Records Management or similar qualification is highly desirable. You should have training or experience in information or records management.
You should also have:
- robust records management knowledge, including government policies, principles and processes
- technical skills with Microsoft Office 365, TRIM/Content Manager, SharePoint or similar systems
- knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Evidence Act 2008 and Public Records Act 1973
- clear communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support change and improve services.
