Join our team and help improve how biodiversity information is managed, shared and used across Victoria. Working with systems such as NatureKit and the Victorian Biodiversity Atlas, you'll support users, contribute to data quality improvements, develop online resources and explore opportunities to make information more accessible and useful. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to build skills in biodiversity data, GIS, databases and information management while working with some of Victoria's most important environmental datasets.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in ecology, environmental science, spatial information or a related discipline is desirable.
- Data and Spatial Skills: Some experience working with data, including basic data handling, management or analysis. Exposure to spatial data (e.g. GIS software) and/or database tools (e.g. SQL) is desirable. Demonstrated interest in developing technical capability with data is highly regarded.
- Biodiversity data: Familiarity with biodiversity or similar environmental datasets is desirable, including an awareness that data can be incomplete, variable in quality, and require appropriate interpretation.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
