About the role

Due to the opening of a new store in Bondi Junction, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new store opening and help build a strong, customer-focused team from the ground up. The store will operate five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday. The position is full-time, and is ideally suited to individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, leading by example, and creating a positive and supportive team setting. As a service-driven organisation, the primary focus of the role is to offer a personalised, welcoming and professional uniform service to the families and communities of partner schools.

Key responsibilities

- Take full ownership of the day-to-day operations and performance of the uniform shop, ensuring an exceptional experience for students, parents and staff.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team, creating a positive, accountable retail setting.
- Manage all aspects of stock control, including inventory accuracy, replenishment, deliveries, stocktakes and loss prevention.
- Oversee visual merchandising and ensure the store is consistently clean, organised and presented to a high standard.
- Manage staff rostering, team coverage and daily allocation of responsibilities to ensure efficient store operations.
- Recruit, onboard and train team members, providing ongoing feedback and performance support.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and confidently manage customer enquiries, feedback and escalations.




- Train staff to fit school uniforms to balance current comfort with room for natural growth while strictly adhering to school dress codes.
- Ensure all company policies, procedures and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements are consistently followed.

About you

- Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager and/or Second-In-Charge role.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience managing stock, rostering, visual merchandising and day-to-day retail operations.
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems; knowledge of Apparel 21 (AP21) is advantageous.
- A genuine commitment to creating a positive team culture and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check.
