JP Recruitment is seeking a Second Class Welder to join the team in Hazelmere.

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our client’s production team based in Hazelmere. This role involves welding and fabricating components used in the manufacturing of rainwater tanks, including trusses, ladders, hatches, and stands.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 2:30pm. Fridays have an early finish - 6:00am to 12:00pm. The hourly rate is $38 to $40.

The role will lead to a permanent position with the company.

Key Responsibilities

- MIG welding of galvanized steel components
- Fabrication of trusses, ladders, hatches, and tank stands
- Reading and interpreting basic drawings and measurements
- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
- General workshop duties as required

Requirements

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
- Must have reliable transport
- Must have permanent and full-time work rights
- Proven experience in MIG welding (experience with galvanized steel highly regarded)
- Basic fabrication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and within a team
