Aquatic Service Officer – Lifeguard

The City of Melville is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Aquatic Service Officers to join our LeisureFit team on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant aquatic environment where you'll help ensure the safety, enjoyment and wellbeing of our community.

As an Aquatic Service Officer, you'll play a key role in supervising pool users, maintaining a safe aquatic workplace and delivering exceptional customer service across our LeisureFit Centres.

Location: City of Melville LeisureFit Centres

Salary: LFAQ $42.78 to $46.55 p.a. + 12% Super

Employment Type: Casual

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Facility Duty Officer, you will:

- Monitor aquatic areas and provide active pool supervision.

- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents.

- Deliver first aid, CPR and oxygen resuscitation as required within your qualifications.

- Assist with water quality testing and facility operations.

- Support facility maintenance activities and cleanliness standards.

- Provide excellent customer service to patrons and stakeholders.

- Promote a positive safety culture while complying with relevant policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.

- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Certificate.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Good organisational and time management abilities.

- Sound computer and digital literacy.

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

- Aquatic Technical Operator (Pool Operator) qualification.

- Previous lifeguarding experience.

- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
