About the role

Community Links Wellbeing is growing at a rapid pace and as a result, we now have a rewarding opportunity for a Youth Engagement Worker to join our Mental Health team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate must be willing to travel across areas in the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee shires. Reporting to the Youth Engagement Team Leader, this role is to engage, educate and support young people with diverse needs, particular focus around mental health. To build relationships with young people and families and develop sustainable and meaningful engagement activities. The successful applicant will work collaboratively to promote resilience, wellbeing, social inclusion and positive outcomes for participants.

Key responsibilities

- Provide case management support and services to young people.

- Facilitate social inclusion, community participation and engagement programs.

- Encourage stability, wellbeing, resilience and empowerment of community and youth participants through programs and services.

- Build and maintain effective relationships with consumers, families, community groups, schools and service providers.

- Travel to Community Links Wellbeing sites and other community locations as required, including the transportation of relevant program resources and equipment.

- Maintain accurate case notes,



records and reports in line with organisational and funding requirements.

About you

- Minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Youth Work.

- Experience working with children, young people, families and communities.

- Demonstrated understanding of case management and youth engagement.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

- Current Driver Licence.

- Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
