Classic Roller Shutters is a South Australian family-owned business that has been manufacturing, supplying, installing and repairing roller shutters and related products for over 40 years.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our installation and repairs team.

This is initially a casual position with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role for the right person.

You don't need to know everything about roller shutters before you start. On-the-job training will be provided. What is most important to us is your attitude, reliability, practical ability and willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting tradespeople with roller shutter and blind installations

- Assisting with roller shutter servicing, repairs and maintenance

- Using hand and power tools safely and correctly

- Loading, unloading and handling products, tools and equipment

- Measuring, fitting and assisting with installation work

- Following installation instructions and job requirements

- Helping identify and solve practical issues that arise on site

- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area

- Communicating professionally with customers while working at their homes or businesses

- Taking care of company tools, equipment, vehicles and customers' property

About you

- A current driver's license – essential

- Experience using hand and power tools – highly advantageous

- Good practical and mechanical ability

- The ability to follow instructions and learn new skills

- The ability to think practically and use initiative on site

- Good problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Good communication and customer service skills

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Previous experience in construction, installation, maintenance,



electrical, mechanical, carpentry, building, blinds, roller shutters or a similar hands-on environment would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right person.
