We're partnering with a leading Sydney law firm to hire a Financial Crime Risk Officer / AML Analyst for its Business Intake team. If you want to build real specialist depth in financial crime risk, this is a chance to do it inside a collaborative legal environment, with hands-on exposure to First AML and Intapp.

You'll support the firm's AML/CTF compliance obligations through CDD, KYC and screening, and you'll also help shape how the firm implements and develops its AML/CTF Program, including rolling out current policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct CDD, KYC and screening checks on clients and matters, balancing high volume with accuracy and quality
- Review PEP and sanctions screening results and escalate risks where appropriate
- Support key projects associated with the implementation and ongoing development of the firm's AML/CTF Program
- Assist with the rollout of compliance policies,



procedures and operational processes

About you

- At least 12 months' experience performing CDD and/or KYC checks in a law firm, professional services, banking or other regulated environment
- Experience with First AML is highly regarded, and Intapp or similar intake platforms are a plus
- Sharp attention to detail and sound commercial judgement, including the confidence to push back when a matter needs to be opened yesterday
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with lawyers, partners and support teams
- Must have Full Australian working rights
