Are you an experienced legal Finance Manager ready for your next role?

Marino Law, a leading, multi-award winning, full-service Gold Coast law firm, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Mermaid Beach. In this key role, you will take ownership of the firm's financial management, trust accounting compliance and payroll functions.

After 7 years, our finance manager is winding back towards retirement. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is innovative and has strong background in legal accounts and trust accounting to take ownership of the role.

Your Role

Reporting to the General Manager and equity partners, you will be responsible for:

● Managing the firm's financial functions including office and trust accounting, banking, and adherence to QLS trust compliance requirements

● Daily and end of month bank reconciliations (office and trust)

● Daily receipting and EFT payments

● Billing, WIP reporting and debtor management

● Preparation of EOM and EOFY reports

● Processing payroll, superannuation and PAYG/payroll tax reconciliations

● Preparation and lodgement of quarterly BAS and GST

● Cashflow management and forecasting

● Financial governance including coordinating trust audits

● Liaising with the firm's external accountant and auditor





● Other reasonable administrative duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

● 4+ years' experience working in accounts/finance role within a law firm (essential)

● Strong background in administering solicitor’s trust account (essential)

● Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (essential)

● Experience using LEAP legal software (highly regarded)

● Accounting degree or equivalent experience (highly regarded)

● Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to work to deadlines

● Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented approach
