Kurbingui Youth & Family Development is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, children, young people and Elders across Greater Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Southeast Queensland. We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Administration Officer to provide quality administrative support to our operational and program teams while ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for staff, clients, and stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our organisation by providing reception, administration and customer service support across multiple programs and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails and enquiries
- Greet and assist visitors, clients and stakeholders
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence and mail
- Coordinate meeting room bookings, catering and equipment requirements
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes and calendar invitations
- Maintain registers, records, databases and filing systems
- Support staff onboarding processes and equipment coordination
- Monitor staff compliance, training and certification records
- Arrange travel and vehicle bookings as required
- Assist with brokerage requests and general administration tasks
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and administrative processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
✅ Minimum 2 years' experience in an administration role
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✅ Strong organisational and time management abilities
✅ High attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team
✅ Must have Current Driver Licence
✅ Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
✅ Current National Police Check (issued within the past two years)
✅ Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or ability to obtain one
Highly Regarded
- Experience with financial software such as Xero
- Understanding of, or experience working with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
