At iSupportChef, we support NDIS participants, Aged care and D.V.A. clients by providing vital in-home support and freshly cooked, nutritious meals. This is not a traditional restaurant line-cook or private chef job.

It is a unique hybrid position where you act as a trusted support worker and an exceptional home cook.

The Schedule & Above-Award Rewards

- Hours: Ideal daytime, weekday hours (typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM). No late nights, and rarely any weekends (up to you).

- Rate: $43.00 per hour on weekdays ($60.00 per hour if weekend work is required) + 12% Super + km allowance.

- Purpose: Work one-on-one with clients in their homes, building genuine human connections while using your culinary talents for good.

What the Role Demands

We are looking for your heart for community service and your ability to look at a client's fridge and whip up something comforting, secure, and delicious.

1. Exceptional, Versatile Cooking Skills: You must be an adaptable, highly competent cook who can make almost anything within a client's dietary limits. We need someone who can independently nail the basics without a recipe protocol—whether that means baking a perfect batch of cupcakes, tossing a vibrant beef stir-fry, or slow-cooking a rich, comforting casserole. You must also be willing to adapt these skills for specialised dietary needs (like texture-modified or low-sodium meals).

2. A Support Worker’s Heart: You will be stepping into the private sanctuaries of people living with disabilities, mental health challenges, or age-related decline. You must bring an empathetic, compassionate, highly patient, and warm presence and approach.



You are there to collaborate with them, not dictate to them.

3. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Traveling to clients' homes across Springfield and surrounding suburbs area.

- Planning menus with clients based on their budget and personal tastes.

- Handling the grocery shopping.

- Preparing and batch-cooking meals in their kitchen, leaving the space spotless.

- Completing basic daily compliance documentation regarding the support provided (training is supplied).

Mandatory Requirements

To protect our clients and remain fully compliant with NDIS standards, you must have (or be entirely willing to obtain prior to starting):

- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable, insured for business vehicle.

- A National Police Check, First Aid/CPR certificate, and Food Handler certificate.

- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Yellow Card)

- A Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and the 4 mandatory NDIS orientation modules.

- Full Australian work rights (citizenship or permanent residency).
