At Auto response, we're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our small, close-knit team.

This isn't a role for someone who still needs their hand held.

We're looking for a technician with a minimum 5 years' experience post-qualification, including experience in an independent workshop.

You need to be confident taking ownership of your jobs from start to finish. We're a multi-brand workshop, so you'll need to be comfortable with whatever rolls through the door.

We want someone who can think for themselves, diagnose properly, make good decisions and get the job done without needing someone looking over their shoulder.

You don't need to know everything. Nobody does.

But you do need to love this industry, enjoy solving problems and still want to learn.

Who We're Looking For

You'll need:

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Automotive Technician

- Previous experience working in an independent workshop

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

- Current manual driver's licence

- Strong multi-brand servicing and repair experience

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

- Confidence working autonomously and making valuable decisions

- The ability to work accurately and productively in a fast-paced workshop





- Pride in your workmanship and a high standard of quality

- A genuine love of the automotive industry

- A desire to keep learning and improving

- The attitude to pitch in and help your teammates when things get busy

Most importantly, we need someone we can trust with a job.

If you're given a vehicle, we expect you to be able to assess it, work through the problem, communicate what you find and get it finished properly.

What You'll Be Doing

- Servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicle brands

- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

- Carrying out inspections and identifying required repairs

- Taking ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion

- Communicating clearly with our Service Advisor about findings, repairs and job progress

- Managing your own time and workload

- Working productively while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

- Helping the team when another set of experienced hands is needed

- Producing work you're happy to put your name to
