We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Acute and Urgent Care department at Rural Northwest Health's Warracknabeal campus on a 12-month fixed-term contract role.
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of clinical care, and performance monitoring of the acute and urgent care team members.
The successful candidate will have:
Relevant post-graduate training or education in aged care, acute medical or emergency nursing
Relevant post-graduate education in leadership and management, or plans to undertake
Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a team to deliver services that ensures protected, consumer-centered care
Knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks relevant to the role including, but not limited to, Safe
Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements,



and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters and workforce needs
Adaptability to competing demands
Current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
Current AHPRA registration
