As part of the engineering and design team,the outside plant designer will be engaged in the following activities:
n
n
Access Optus live
databases/systemslike
Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U****, Projen, etc. for
serviceprovisioning
to Add, Modify or Decommissioning of services
n
Need to design or data fill theDirect line, Multi-line, Voice and other IP-VPN products across the accesstypes
n
Prepares Field InspectionReports and Land Access and Statutory Approvals documentation
n
Ensure area plans, detaileddesigns and documentation created meets defined quality standards
n
Ensure the timely delivery ofcustomer service orders within the defined time lines
n
Actively seek feedback fromsenior designers and provide recommendations on planning and design
procedureimprovement
n
Assist the team in providing inputs for processimprovement and optimise the design rules
n
n
Requirements
n
n




1 to 3 years of experience in planning,design and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networks
n
Understanding of
networkingconcepts,
IP addressing and Subnet Masking, Network Switches and Routers
n
Networking certifications suchas CCNA/CCNP are highly preferable
n
Understanding of direct fiberaccess network that includes active and passive devices
n
Understanding of aerial,underground and intra-building designs standards of NBN will be an addedadvantage
n
Working experience on Optusdatabase and systems such as Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U****, etc. ispreferable
n
Working experience on livespatial and non-spatial systems is highly preferable
n
Knowledge of GIS relatedplatforms, systems and tools such as MapInfo and AutoCAD Map
n
Valuable command over technical writing anddocumentation skills
