Key Responsibilities n

Preparingsurfacesincludingsanding,filling,sealing,andrepairingimperfectionsbeforepainting
n
Removingoldpaint,wallpaper,andpreparingareasfornewfinishes
n
Applyingpaints,varnishes,stains,andspecialtycoatingsusingbrushes,rollers,andsprayequipment
n
Mixingandpreparingpaintstoachieverequiredcoloursandfinishes
n
Applyingdecorativefinishes,texturedcoatings,epoxycoatings,andotherspecialtyfinishesasrequired
n
Readingandinterpretingconstructiondrawings,specifications,andcolourschedules
n




Ensuringcompletedpaintingworksmeetqualitystandardsandprojectrequirements
n
Installingwallpaper,matchingpatterns,andcompletingdetailedfinishingwork
n
Protectingsurroundingareasusingscaffolding,ladders,andprotectivecoverings
n
Maintainingpaintingtools,equipment,andworkareasinaccordancewithsafetystandards
n
Repairingminorsurfaces,windows,andcompletingrelatedfinishingtaskswhererequired
n
Workingcollaborativelywithprojectmanagers,supervisors,andothertradesonsite

FollowingallWHSrequirements,siteprocedures,andsafeworkpractices

Monitoringmaterialusageandreportingprojectprogresstosupervisor

Requirements & Eligibility n

CertificateIIIinPaintingandDecoratingorequivalentrecognisedtradequalification
n
Minimum1yearofexperienceincommercialpaintinganddecorating
n
Strongexperienceusingbrush,roller,andspraypaintingtechniques
n
Knowledgeofsurfacepreparationmethodsincludingsanding,filling,priming,andsealing
n
Abilitytointerpretconstructiondrawings,specifications,andpaintschedules
n
Experienceworkingoncommercialconstructionorinteriorfit

n
Abilitytoworksafelyatheightsandwithinactiveconstructionenvironments
n
AbilitytoobtainaWhiteCard(GeneralConstructionInductionTraining)

Strongattentiontodetailwithafocusonqualityfinishes
