About the position
Council's Building Infrastructure & Open Space Department is looking for a Coordinator Open Space Deliverywho will be responsible for position objective.
The main responsibilities will include:
Lead and mentor the Open Space Delivery team, developing a collaborative, high-performing culture and supporting professional development.
Coordinate and deliver Council's Open Space capital works program, overseeing projects from planning and design through construction, completion and handover, while managing budgets, risks, quality and timeframes.
Lead project and contract management, including procurement, tendering, contract negotiations, consultant and contractor management, stakeholder engagement, reporting and continuous improvement.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
About you
Relevant experience:
Extensive experience delivering complex capital works projects and managing contracts, consultants and contractors, ideally within local government or a similar environment.
Leadership & soft skills:
A confident and collaborative leader with strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, political acumen, and the ability to lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.




Technical skills & knowledge:
Strong knowledge of project and contract management, procurement, financial and risk management, with experience across open space projects including playgrounds, sportsgrounds, lighting, foreshore developments and streetscapes.
Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or Civil Engineering and a current Victorian Driver Licence are required.

This position is aBand 8A currently remunerated at$129,******per annum, plus superannuation.
