We manage accounts receivable, banking, and debt management services for Cairns Hospital, alongside ensuring Own Source Revenue legislative compliance across all facilities and functions within the Health Service.We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.Our values were developed by our staff, patients and community. We believe that we can improve health outcomes by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of their local health services.**About your opportunity:**In this position you will...* Take ownership of the WorkCover portfolio as your primary focus, alongside other high-value Own Source Revenue (OSR) accounts (such as international insurers, and DVA), negotiating payment guarantees and reviewing clinical documentation to ensure the hospital is appropriately reimbursed.* Guide patients seamlessly through complex funding pathways including compensable categories (WorkCover QLD and MAIC), Medicare-ineligible, Reciprocal Health Care Agreements, and private health insurance elections. This requires assessing eligibility and liability, conducting difficult conversations regarding Informed Financial Consent, and supporting patients with claim documentation to minimise stress, demonstrating resilience and professionalism to ensure their clinical care and recovery remains the priority.* Liaise closely with clinical staff (Doctors, Nurse Unit Managers, and Social Workers) to educate them on the necessity of correct paperwork, particularly for work-related injuries,
