Job Description
Compasis seekingan EL2 Director - Commercial and Contracts to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement. This position will work in the Commercial and Contracts Section, and report to the Assistant Secretary of Business Operations. The ideal candidate requires knowledge and/or experience with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework or administering Commonwealth contracts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the newly established Contract Management Section.
n
Lead the centralisation of contract management.
n
Lead the procurement and contracts capability uplift project, in consultation with the Director, Major Procurement.
n
Provide advice on procurement strategy, market approaches, sourcing models, evaluation methodologies, value for money and commercial risk.
n
Lead complex, high-value, sensitive or high-risk procurement activities, where required.
n
Engage and manage legal, probity and other specialist advisors where required.
n
Provide advice to delegates and senior executives on procurement options, risks, value for money and recommended outcomes.
n
Establish and maintain contracts, standing offers, work orders,



labour hire engagements and associated financial commitments.

Desired Skills and Experience
n
n
An understanding of and/or experience in the Commonwealth Resource Framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and associated Procurement Connected Policies is a mandatory requirement.
