About The Role And What You'll Do
Banyule Bpi is uniquely placed by delivering both Statutory functions for Banyule Council Municipality and also offers a Building permit service to Banyule residents. This enables team members to be exposed to all facets of the Building Surveying profession, encouraging growth, continuous improvement, learning and upskilling. In this diverse role you'll:
contribute to an effective building permit service, including assisting with assessment of plans and issuing of Building Permits
provide information and assistance to members of the community including clients in regard to policies and legislation, including; Building Control responsibilities of Council and Building Regulations.
manage enforcement of Building Regulations for safety and regulatory compliance within the Banyule municipality
About You (what You'll Bring/what We Are Looking For)
Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying (Bachelor degree or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying) or currently undertaking.
Previous experience with building surveying/inspections.
Demonstrated technical knowledge of Building Act **** and Building Regulations ****, and the ability to apply this knowledge.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.




Ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of people with varying social and economic backgrounds.
Ability to work in a busy team environment, as well as independently.

Salary $101,****** to $110,****** per annum, plus super (dependent on experience)
A permanent, full-time position with a monthly RDO.
