At Deftec, we're offering Underground Electricians the opportunity to develop specialist skills in:
Communications Networks
Underground Technology Projects
This role is ideal for electricians with 1-2 years underground coal experience who want to build a long-term technical career while maintaining the lifestyle advantages of a 7/7 roster.
No previous instrumentation or automation experience is required. We'll provide the training, mentoring and project exposure.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your interests and experience, you may be involved in:
Underground communications systems
Fibre optic installation and testing
Conveyor and infrastructure projects
Underground electrical maintenance
Technology improvement initiatives
No two swings are the same.
We're looking for someone who:
An Underground Electrician with 1-2 years experience
Looking to expand your technical capabilities
Interested in automation, instrumentation or technology
Wanting exposure to projects and advanced systems
Looking for a long-term career path rather than another maintenance position
Motivated to learn from experienced technical specialists
Most importantly,



you're someone who wants to keep developing.
