About the role
Under the supervision of a Pharmacist:
Support the delivery of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, developing your clinical skills in medication management and pharmaceutical care planning
Develop your skills in patient counselling, medication education and the provision of drug information to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals
Gain hands‐on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including the preparation of extemporaneous pharmaceuticals and applying relevant quality and safety controls




Participate in pharmacy practice research, including undertaking a specific research project
Work collaboratively within the pharmacy team, participate in weekend rosters and undertake other duties as required by the Director of Pharmacy or Deputy Director of Pharmacy
About you
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Degree and eligible for provisional registration with AHPRA plus eligibility to enrol in an approved Intern Training Program prior to commencement

Sound knowledge of pharmacology and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical clinical situations
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively counsel patients and carers and collaborate with healthcare professionals at all levels
An understanding of the role of a Hospital Pharmacist, including professional, ethical and legal responsibilities, with a commitment to ongoing professional development, continuing education, quality improvement and research
A proactive and adaptable team player with demonstrated initiative, solid problem-solving, time management and prioritisation skills, and the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and contribute effectively within a busy team environment
