Public Sector People are currently partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for Traffic Engineer.
Position: Traffic Engineer Contract length: 12 months with potential for additional 12 month extension Pay rate: Up to $85 p/h + Super Responsibilities: Investigate traffic-related concerns raised by residents or stakeholders, conduct traffic studies (e.g., speed, volume, accident analysis), and design safety improvements such as signage, line marking, speed calming devices, and intersection upgrades.
Review and provide expert traffic engineering advice on Development Applications, including assessing traffic and parking impacts, access design, and recommending conditions of consent where necessary.
Investigate traffic requests by the community, conduct site inspections and traffic studies, and develop solutions to enhance road safety and network performance.
Essential:
