An exciting and rewarding prospect is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Environmental Services team at Portland District Health.
The primary role is to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff; in accordance with Victorian Healthcare Cleaning Standards, and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Undertake the effective and efficient cleaning of the facility; including public, staff, inpatient, and clinical areas; together with the operation of the waste disposal and recycling systems.
Shift times Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm with the likelihood of some weekend and Public Holiday shifts to fill.
About you
An appropriate level of physical fitness to be able to undertake the specific duties.
Ability to perform duties within established routines, methods, and procedures.
Capability to work under routine supervision, either individually or in a team.
Demonstrated competency in the cleaning of windows, hard and soft floors; and the use of a wide range of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Previous experience in healthcare/aged care environment - desirable

A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment

PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce.
The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support,



Administration and Health Information.
