An exciting chance exists for an enthusiastic Scientist to join our St George laboratory on a permanent full-time basis.
The role will include blood film morphology, transfusion and biochemistry.
The position will require you to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
Rostered hours will vary to cover the operational hours of a 24-hour laboratory.
Selection criteria
To be considered for this position, the applicant must have a relevant Science degree.
Previous experience in haematology and or blood bank (1-2 years is preferable).




General computer skills and venepuncture experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
Appropriately qualified – Degree in Medical Science or recognised equivalent.
Eligible for professional membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists.
Experience in a diagnostic laboratory with Australian industry experience.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work in a team environment without direct supervision.
An understanding of quality control techniques.
Proficient, motivated and highly organised with great attention to detail.
Must be able to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
