They are looking to appoint a senior commercial individual to take ownership of new business growth across a key area of the organisation.
This opportunity could suit an experienced General Manager, Sales Director or senior commercial leader who is looking to step away from traditional corporate management and back into a hands-on sales role, with the freedom, autonomy and resources to make a genuine commercial impact.
The Role: The General Manager of Business Development will be a highly autonomous, Hunter focused role: Own and drive new business growth across the target market.
Develop and execute a strategy to identify and convert major commercial opportunities.
Build relationships with senior decision makers and key strategic customers.
Identify new markets, customers and opportunities to accelerate growth.




Take ownership of the complete sales cycle, from opening doors through to negotiation and close.
Leverage significant product, manufacturing, marketing and financial resources to win new business.
There are two opportunities available, with the key difference being the market focus.
One role will focus on major FMCG customers within the Cartonboard division, while the other will focus on marketing and creative agencies, eCommerce and major brand activations within the Specialties division.
Your Background: 10+ years' senior Business Development, Sales or Commercial experience.
Proven track record of winning significant current business and driving commercial growth.
Strong network and ability to engage senior decision makers.
FMCG, packaging, eCommerce, agency, marketing or related industry experience highly regarded.
Charismatic, entrepreneurial and commercially astute.
Comfortable operating autonomously with significant freedom and accountability.
