We are seeking a mechanically minded Process Technician to join our night shift team in a secure, long-term opportunity with immediate start available.
Shift:
Night shift, 10pm–6am
Days:
Monday night to Saturday morning
Type:
Ongoing casual contract with strong potential for permanency within a stable manufacturing environment
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on technical work, thrives in a fast‐paced production environment, and has strong troubleshooting ability.
Key Duties
Monitor machinery throughout the shift to ensure smooth, continuous operation.
Identify early signs of mechanical issues and take corrective action to minimise downtime.
Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
Perform full set‐ups and changeovers of dies, moulds,



and associated equipment according to production requirements.
Dismantle machinery components safely and efficiently for cleaning, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
Diagnose mechanical or process issues and implement solutions to restore optimal performance.
Work closely with maintenance teams when escalated repairs are required.
Conduct thorough cleaning of production equipment, ensuring all components are free from contamination.
Skills & Experience
Trade qualification, engineering studies
, or relevant manufacturing experience highly regarded.
Experience in plastics, extrusion, blow moulding, injection moulding, packaging, FMCG, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environments
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience performing machine changeovers and adjustments
Forklift licence preferred
Reliable and committed to working permanent night shift
