About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated
Permanent Part Time Carer
to join our team at
Dorothy Henderson Lodge
.
In this role, you'll support residents with warmth, compassion and professionalism, helping them live well every day.
You'll build meaningful relationships, assist with daily living tasks, and contribute to a safe, person-centred environment.
This position offers
48 hours per fortnight
, with a mixture of:
AM shifts
- 7:00am to 3:00pm
PM shifts
- 3:00pm to 10:00pm
Middle shifts
- 9:00am to 5:00pm Rostered across
weekdays and weekends

Your Responsibilities
Resident connection
- Build genuine, trusting relationships and understand individual needs
Personal care
- Assist with showering, grooming, meals, mobility and manual handling
Meaningful engagement
- Support activities that bring joy, purpose and social connection
Promoting independence
- Uphold dignity and encourage resident choice
Communication
- Report changes or concerns to ensure care plans remain accurate

About You
You bring compassion, patience and a genuine desire to support older people.
You thrive in a team environment and have the practical skills to deliver safe, high-quality care.
You will bring:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care)
or equivalent, or be working toward completion
Experience in residential aged care or similar
Competence in personal care, mobility and manual handling
Strong commitment to person-centred care and resident dignity
Good communication skills and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships
Reliable availability
across weekdays and weekends
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
Basic computer skills for documentation and care plans
A positive, respectful and empathetic approach
